Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how White Line Design LLC ("White Line," "we," "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you use whitelinedesign.ai, app.whitelinedesign.ai, and related services (the "Service"). We built White Line for small independent businesses, and we try to treat your data the way we'd want ours treated: collect what's needed to run the product, and not much else.

1. Information We Collect

Account information. When you sign up we collect your email address, name, and password (stored in hashed form by our authentication provider).

Brand inputs and generated assets. The business names, descriptions, preferences, and any images you provide to generate brand kits, and the assets generated for you, are stored in your Brand Vault so the Service can function.

Payment information. Payments are handled by third-party payment processors. We receive confirmation of payment, your plan, and billing status; we do not receive or store your full card number.

Order and shipping details. If you order merchandise, we collect the shipping name and address needed to fulfill it and share them with our printing partner.

Waitlist and marketing emails. If you join our email list, your address is stored with our email service provider (currently Mailchimp) and used to send updates. Every email includes an unsubscribe link.

Usage data. Like most websites, we collect standard technical information such as IP address, browser type, pages visited, and general usage patterns, used for security, debugging, and understanding how the Service is used.

2. How We Use Information

We use your information to operate the Service (generate and store your brand assets, process payments, fulfill orders), to communicate with you about your account and orders, to improve the product, to prevent fraud and abuse, and to comply with legal obligations. If you've opted in, we may send product updates and offers, which you can opt out of at any time.

3. What We Don't Do

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your brand inputs or generated assets publicly without your permission — your Brand Vault is yours. Style guides you explicitly share via a shareable link are visible to anyone who has that link.

4. Sharing With Service Providers

We share information with a small set of providers who help us run the Service: hosting and infrastructure providers, authentication services, payment processors, AI model providers that process your inputs to generate assets, our email service provider, and printing/fulfillment partners for merchandise orders. Each receives only what it needs to perform its function. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, or property of White Line or others.

5. Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies that are necessary for the Service to work — for example, keeping you signed in — and may use analytics cookies to understand aggregate usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling essential cookies may prevent parts of the Service from working.

6. Data Retention

We keep your account information and Brand Vault assets for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete or de-identify your personal information within a reasonable period, except where retention is required for legal, billing, or security purposes. Backup copies may persist briefly before cycling out.

7. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, or to object to certain processing. You can exercise most of these directly in your account settings, or by emailing info@whitelinedesign.ai — we respond to verified requests within the timelines required by applicable law (including the GDPR for EEA/UK residents and the CCPA/CPRA for California residents). We do not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.

8. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit and reputable third-party infrastructure. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security — please use a strong, unique password.

9. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

10. International Users

We are based in the United States and process information there. If you use the Service from outside the US, you understand your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted here with a new effective date and, where appropriate, communicated by email or in the app.
